VBISD School Social Work Services
School Social Workers at Van Buren Intermediate School District (VBISD) strive to improve student success in school through interventions and consultation with students, teachers, parents and administrators. They seek to collaborate with community agencies and utilize community resources that will help students progress in the educational environment. They work in partnership with local school districts and VBISD teams to address student need, evaluate student behavior and implement Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS). Ultimately, the VBISD School Social Work Department makes every effort to assist students in learning the skills necessary to succeed in school and prepare for life after completion of their high school education.
